Unfortunately, my mother-in-law's health has gotten to the point that she is unable to take care of her dog Poppi. We would love to make Poppi a permament part of our family, but unfortunately, he and Bandit (Poppi's Dad) do not get along.
Poppi is Annie and Bandit's baby from their first litter. He was the third of a litter of 5, and the runt of the litter. He was born in December of 1999. He is male, has been neutered, and is current on all his shots. He is pure-bred Pekingese, and was AKC registerable, but I don't know if my mother-in-law ever registered him, or if he is still registerable if she did not. He is about 12 pounds, and is the prettiest puppy Annie and Bandit had.
Poppi needs to live in a home where he is the only dog. We assume it is because he lived most his life in a home where he was the only dog, but he does sometimes get aggressive with other dogs. He is the sweetest thing other than that.

Because we have read some horror stories on the internet about professionals obtaining 'free dog to a good home' dogs, and using them for dog fights or animal experimentation, we are only willing to let him go to a home we know or can verify will be a good home. If we know you personally, you are responsible, will provide vet visits when appropriate, and can provide him a good home, you can have Poppi for free. If we don't know you, then we are asking $100 for him. Ookie, you can't have him for any amount. This is one of the best ways to prevent him from going to a bad home according to the article we read.
Poppi will make someone a great companion, just as he has my mother-in-law for these last several years. If you are interested, please email me at joe@rattz.com, or call me at 404.932.2184.
Thanks.
